Registration is open for the Ukrainian regional selection of the global startup pitch competition – Startup World Cup Ukraine 2023, the winner will become the official representative of Ukraine at the Startup World Cup Grand Final in the USA and will have the opportunity to win $1,000,000.
Selection criteria for participation in the competition: an officially registered business and the ability to pitch in English. In the current realities, Ukrainian Future business incubator of Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is the official representative of Startup World Cup global competition in Ukraine and the organizer of the regional selection, also advises participating startups to consider the possibility of going abroad.
Startup teams can apply for participation in Startup World Cup Ukraine 2023 by September 11 via the link.
Based on the results of the consideration of submitted applications, the jury will select 10 teams to participate in the regional final. It will be held online on September 21, 2023. The winner of Startup World Cup Ukraine 2023 will have an opportunity to present his startup at the Startup World Cup Grand Final, which will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2023, in San Francisco (USA), and win $1,000,000 grand prize.
Besides the main prize, additional prizes from event partners are established at SWC every year. Moreover, the winning startup team of the regional selection receives tickets to the Networking Party, the opportunity to attend workshops and meetings taking place within the framework of Startup World Cup and to communicate with investors, innovators and founders of tech giants that have offices in Silicon Valley.
In Ukraine the regional selection of Startup World Cup will take place for the third time. The finalists of Startup World Cup Ukraine 2020 and 2022 are startups Kray Technologies (automatic drones for application of plant protection and nutrition) and MANNA (interactive media platform for creating original 3D animated content, streaming and social interaction in a VR environment). Both presented their projects on the main stage of the Grand Finale which was held in 2022 in San Francisco.
Startup World Cup is one of the largest startup pitching conferences on the planet with the finale in Silicon Valley, which lasts 3 days and gathers more than 2,500 investors, 500+ speakers and 50,000+ participants from all over the world. More than 50 countries hold regional selections of Startup World Cup, determining the startup team that will represent them in the Grand Final and compete for a prize of $1,000,000. The organizer of the global Startup World Cup competition is the international venture capital company Pegasus Tech Ventures, whose total investment is more than $14 billion and the portfolio includes such companies as SpaceX, Twitter, Airbnb, SoFi, and others. Since 2020 the official representative of Startup World Cup in Ukraine and the organizer of the regional selection of the competition is Ukrainian Future Business Incubator of Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The regional selection of 2023 is held with the support of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
